Repetition in BJJ

Posted on February 18, 2013 by Jason Claunch

On Repetition

Dsc00608_modificada Jiu-jitsu moves should be repeated thousands of times, until such time as they become part of the fighter’s own reflexes. The jiu-jitsu fighter’s body should become conditioned to perform a certain move before he even thinks about it(before he has any thoughts of doing it). Jiu-jitsu moves should be executed by instinct.

No matter how good you are, no matter how experient and skilled you may be, you should not think you are so good that you don’t have to drill moves anymore.

Regular practice and repetition of moves are of ultimate importance to all jiu-jitsu fighters.
